Founder/President: Worthington Brown
Worthington "Worth" Brown, President of CellKeeper Company, and a
Memphis native, graduated from Washington and Lee University and
later added a law degree from the University of Memphis.
In Memphis, Worth spent five years as a commercial mortgage banker
and then moved into building and land development for his own
account. He established a firm that specialized in importing building
supplies and accessories from Europe and later opening a branch in
Chicago. Several years later the company was sold to a European
retailer of building accessories.
Mr. Brown then purchased a seat at the Chicago Board of Trade and
spent 10 years in the 30 year Bond pit as a broker and trader. He
was a lead option broker who executed orders for some of the largest
Wall Street firms.
During that time, he and another investor bought an island in the
Florida Keys and developed what became the resort, Little Palm Island. Little Palm Island is a 4-Star
Resort that was rated one of the Top 10 in the world by Conde Nast. The hotel was sold to a resort
company in 1997.
Since then, he has overseen several businesses, dealing in financial services and product development.
Worth also partnered in a company importing lumber, as well as, an investor in a Single A baseball
team in the Carolina League.
The Cellkeeper idea came to Worth when he had no convenient way to carry his cell phone when he
took his dog for a walk. From that point, CellKeeperTM has evolved into the fashionable and functional
accessory it is today.
